Wondering what to expect?
A virtual personal training consultation begins with introductions and is designed to get to know you and your specific needs, and allows you as a client to get to know me, as your personal trainer, ask questions and get comfortable in the fitness setting as we work together in outlining specific goals for your fitness sessions. I'll ask you to fill out a simple Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q), which is a customary questionnaire designed to make sure you are ready to exercise safely and have no medical conditions. Please note: having any pre-existing medical condition or injury is not uncommon nor a contraindication to exercise, as many of my past clients have had medical conditions or injuries. It's simply a way to gain more insight to ensure your program is safe and effective. This consultation usually takes approximately 45 minutes.
Once we establish your current lifestyle and nutritional habits, fitness routines, sleep quality, and daily activities, your first session will include various fitness and body assessments and will last about an hour. These assessments aren't meant to be difficult but a way to see how your body moves and your current fitness level along with showing any kind of imbalances or range of motion issues that could impact your ability to perform certain exercises.
Once all the forms, conversations, and assessments are completed, I'll use that information to design a custom fitness program for you that incorporates strength training, cardio training, nutritional guidance, and regular assessments that will get you on your way to achieving your goals.
